Metro Atlanta Seminary Classes (2026–2027)

Whether you're preparing for ministry, serving in your church, or simply wanting to deepen your understanding of God's Word, Metro Atlanta Seminary provides accessible, academically rigorous, and Christ-centered theological education.

Our classes meet three evenings each week at the Perimeter Church Annex and are streamed live via Zoom, allowing students to participate from virtually anywhere. Whether you're navigating Atlanta traffic, traveling for work, or simply unable to attend in person, you can still engage fully in class.

Whether you'd like to audit a single course or begin working toward a certificate or degree, there's a place for you.

Metro Atlanta Seminary is privileged to serve students through faculty who combine academic excellence with decades of faithful ministry experience.   • Monday Evenings (January 4 – March 1)

    5:30–6:40 PM – Making Disciples with Dr. Randy Schlichting
    Learn practical, biblical strategies for helping others grow in faith, as you join God's mission to make disciples.

    5:30–6:40 PM – Kingdom Purpose Workshop with Dr. Tom Lutz
    Discover God's purpose for your work, learn how to disciple others where you are, and craft a personal "Life Plan."

    6:50–9:10 PM – God, Man, and Sin with Mr. Luke Van Cleave
    Grow in your knowledge of the Triune God and understand who we are as people, both as created and as fallen, through Scripture, history, and theology.



  • Tuesday Evenings (January 5 – February 23)

    8:00–9:10 PM – Church History I with Dr. Bob Carter
    Trace the story of the Christian Church from the first century to the Reformation and see how God has worked through people and events across the ages.



  • Thursday Evenings (January 7 – February 25)

    5:30–6:40 PM – NT Literature II - Galatians with Dr. McKay Caston (Zoom Only)
    Go deeper into the freedom that we can have as believers, using a variety of Bible study methods to understand its teaching and apply it to your life and ministry.

    7:00–8:10 PM – Early Christian Women with Dr. Brian Gronewoller (Zoom Only)
    Meet the remarkable women of the early church through their own writings and discover how they shaped the faith and life of early Christian communities.

Auditing or Pursuing a Degree?

Not ready to pursue a degree? Consider auditing a class.

Auditors participate in class discussions and have access to course materials without the requirements of homework, exams, or assigned reading.

  • Audit Tuition: $80 per credit hour
  • No application fee
  • Simple online application

When completing the application, select MAS Application for Auditing Classes.

If you're considering formal theological education but aren't yet sure which degree is right for you, the Certificate in Christian Studies is an excellent place to begin.

The certificate includes the foundational courses required in all of our bachelor's and master's degree programs. Should you later decide to pursue a degree, these credits apply directly toward your program.

Many of our current degree students began exactly this way.

To pursue the Certificate or any degree program:

  • Complete the MAS General Application
  • Application Fee: $50
  • Tuition: $190 per credit hour
  • Registration Fee: $25 per term

Tuition assistance is available for qualifying students.

Great for Small Groups and Bible Studies

Many discipleship groups, Bible studies, and ministry teams are discovering that seminary classes provide an excellent foundation for spiritual growth together.

Your group might:

  • Watch a live Zoom class together.
  • Share a meal before or after class.
  • Use the weekly lecture as the basis for discussion during your regular meeting.
  • Grow together while learning from experienced pastors and theologians.

If your group is interested, email Melanie McNaughton with the names of participants and the course you'd like to take. Once space is confirmed, each participant can complete the appropriate application and register.
